What is e-raze?
The e-raze Rejuvi tattoo removal system is a unique method of tattoo ink extraction which is designed to completely remove your tattoo ink pigments from the body. The treatment has been extensively researched, developed and tested for over ten years, and in use worldwide for over eight years.

The treatment utilizes similar methods as having the original tattoo. The removal formula is delivered to the ink using a tattoo or permanent make-up machine, therefore the treatment can only be performed by a trained tattoo or permanent make-up artist or medical professional. The extraction cream is specifically designed to blend with and capture the original tattoo ink.

The formula then forms into a thicker substance which the skin easily pushes out taking the captured tattoo ink with it. A number of treatments are normally required to completely remove a tattoo. After the treatment course is finished the skin should return to its natural state over a period of months*. There are numerous benifits to this method of removal compared to other methods. for more detailed technical information on the remover click here.

The e-raze treatment is substantially less painful than other removal methods and the treatment course and subsequent tattoo removal is typically much faster and more effective than laser removal options, including effective removal of all tattoo colours.

The e-raze system is suitable and effective on both professional, home made tattoos and permanent make-up and on most areas of the body apart from sensitive areas near the eyes or areas where high levels of moisture occur (where special aftercare considerations may be required). The treatment is not colour selective (unlike laser) and acts on all colour pigments equally.

Traditional or common micro pigmentation or tattoo pigments are inorganic metal oxides such as iron oxides, carbon black, chromium oxide or titanium dioxide etc.

These micrometer-sized inorganic metal oxides are insoluble in water and most organic solvents. Thus won't break down in the body. The ink particles are implanted into the second (dermal) layer of skin. The cells of the dermis are remarkably stable, so the tattoo's ink last, with minor fading and dispersion, for your entire life!

What e-raze is not
It is important not to confuse the e-raze Rejuvi tattoo removal system with any other method of tattoo removal.
e-raze is not - a home applied treatment to fade your tattoo.
e-raze is not - a skin coloured cover up tattoo.
e-raze is not - a acid or bleach based fading treatment.
e-raze is not - a medical or surgical treatment.

Rejuvi Tattoo Removal System consists of alkaline earth metal oxides and transitional metal oxides (in similar particle size range with tattoo pigments) in a special formula (Suspension).

The metal oxides in Rejuvi Tattoo Removal System have very similar physico-chemical properties to tattoo pigments so that they have good chemical affinity or miscibility. The old saying "like attracts like" reflects this principle.

When Rejuvi Tattoo Removal Suspension has good physical contact with tattoo pigments (in the skin), tattoo pigments merge gradually into Rejuvi Tattoo Removal Suspension.

Rejuvi Tattoo Remover is also incompatible to the skin so that the skin repels or ejects it. After the tattoo pigments merge into the Rejuvi Removal Suspension, the skin rejects the mixture of remover and captured ink to the skin surface.

Access to the pigments is gained by puncturing the skin with tattoo or micropigmentation equipment.
The Advantages
Less Treatments - Most tattoos can be removed in around three to four treatments.
Lower Cost - Less treatments makes removal more economical than other methods.
Fastest non surgical method - Less treatments also means faster removal.
Not Colour selective - All tattoo colours respond equally, Reds - Green - Blue - Yellow etc.
Less Scarring* -The skin is still able to tan normally and hair growth remains unchanged.
Can be used to lighten tattoos for better coverups.
How it Works

The tattoo remover is applied in a similar manner to having a tattoo or micropigmentation applied using the same equipment.

The tattoo extraction formula gets to work almost immediately drawing the original tattoo ink upwards through the skin.

A crust containing the tattoo ink will form over the treated area, over the next couple of weeks as the skin heals it will push more of the unwanted ink out. The crust will start to naturally fall away taking that unwanted tattoo ink with it.

The treated area should be kept dry after treatment and while the crust is on the skin. See aftercare section for more information. Some of the remaining ink can also move into the epidermis the layer of skin that is naturally being constantly shed and thus the area may lighten further over the following weeks.

The e-raze system is so effective it is feasible although unlikely that a tattoo can be removed in a single treatment. Normally a tattoo will take a number of treatments typically around 3 to 4 depending on condtion, history and your individual circumstances.**

The treated are should be allowed to heal for 8-12 weeks following treatment before subsequent treatments. If colour is to be reapplied allow 6 months following final treatment.

After treatment the skin will have some redness which will gradually subside. It is important to note that with any method or technology used to effect tattoo removal there are risks involved which may include permanent scarring. There are a number steps that can be utilised to reduce these risks and there are treatments available to reduce scarring should it occur. Unfortunately tattoos are not as easy to remove as they are to apply.

* As with any method of tattoo removal there are some risks inherrent in attempting to remove a tattoo, scar tissue may be evident on the original tattoo and can form from attempted removal. For more information on scarring please see the frequently asked section of the website and or relevant sections.

Quoted figures are based on trials of a series of 98 patients published in Cosmetic Dermatology April, 2001. It should be noted that the treatment method used in these trials was different than that currently employed by e-raze for the majority of treatments. (Download pdf) During the trial tattoo and permanent make removal was attempted in one session using multiple passes of tattooing and cream application (6-10 times). No subsequent treatments were administered after the healing process to attempt removal of any remaining pigment. The e-raze method applies the same principle technique however only 2 passes are involved per treatment reducing discomfort and the potential chance of scarring. Further treatments are subsequently administered at intervals of no less than four weeks until all pigment is removed or subsequent treatments would prove ineffective.

** Actual number of treatments required can vary depending on your individual circumstances and condition of original tattoo, complete removal cannot be guaranteed.

The Rejuvi tattoo remover mixes with the tattoo pigments and bonds with them.
The remover and captured pigment is ejected to the skin surface.
As the skin heals over the following weeks the remover and pigments are ejected. Removing the unwanted tattoo pigments.
